Total Entries: 682

Ryan Chua (EPT)

Ryan Chua (EPT)

Ryan Chua who was the winner of this event last year was just involved in the biggest pot of the tournament. Chua more than tripled his stack when he was involved in a massive preflop confrontation. Chua held the best of it with Aces against the Ace King and pocket Kings of his opponents.

The board ran out clean for Chua and he is now the first player to cross the 1,000,000 mark. Chua is now leading the final 57 players. We have a sweat on our hands as we wait to see if Chua can win back to back Bar Poker Open Championship Events.

Jeff Seidenstein (Atlantic Poker, Raleigh,NC)

Jeff Seidenstein came all the way from Raleigh, NC as part of the Atlantic Poker League to play in this year’s Bar Poker Open. He seems to be enjoying a great run in Day 1B, now sitting on 336,000 chips and well at the top of today’s leaderboard. Jeff was able to get most of his chips in one single hand when he called an all in after the Ace high flop with {Ah}{Kd}, and his opponent could only produce {Ac}{Qc}.

Event 3 BPOC (Day 1B): Is That The Unibomber?

Event 3 BPOC (Day 1B)
Level 5: (150/300/25)
Total Entries: 261
Players Remaining: 194

Often times we walk around the poker room looking for big name players to feature in the blog. To our surprise we have none other than Phil Laak in the field.....Oooops wait that's not the unibomber. It's none other than Steel City Pokers own Nate Mann. We arrive at the table just in time to see Mann sending a player to the rail with his flush and raking in the pot. Mann is now playing over 50,000 chips and is off to a great start in the Championship Event.

Event 3 BPOC (Day 1B): Ronnie Smith Off To A Red Hot Start

Event 3 BPOC (Day 1B)
Level 5: (150/300/25)
Total Entries: 261
Players Remaining: 194

Most players are playing a stack of around what they started with and some are just taking their seats. Ronnie Smith however is on the other end of the spectrum. The Central Massachusetts native is already playing nearly 4 times the starting stack as he approaches the 100,000 chip mark. Smith is off to a hot start and looks to continue running hot throughout the night.
