Ryan Plump (Riverchasers)

Ryan Plump was in contention for the Day 1A chip lead when the players returned from dinner break and she has caught fire after the break.

Plump just scooped a monster pot to vault her over the half a million chip mark and into the chip lead but she was just getting started.

She continues to drag in pot after pot and is now sitting behind a mountain of close to 650,000 putting her alone at the top of the chip counts.

The field is thinning fast and Plump will look to finish strong as we near the end of Day 1A of the Bar Poker Championship.

Level 15 came to an end and the approximately 110 players are now on a 45-minute dinner break to take a breather and refresh themselves. They will return at 7:15pm and continue playing until on 45 players remain.

But before the went to dinner, there was a little more fun in the tournament area. Carl Pipitone and Shaun Kirk of No Limit Pub Poker put on their best “suits” and did their Donkey Run between the tables. They stopped to visit with some of their friends and players in the room and it loosened up an already fun time.

Level 15: 2,000/4,000/400 ante
Flight A Entries: 436
Players Remaining: 140

There is no slowing them down today. Players seem to want to build a stack or bust out to enjoy the casino on a Saturday night. Only 140 players remain of the starting 436 entries but we still have a nice crowd. As normal with the Bar Poker Open, a lot of the players are sticking around after the bust to cheer on their friends and fellow league members. It is a fun, active group on the fringes.

They are also nearing their dinner break. They will play out this level and the remaining players will take a 45-minute respite from the tables to enjoy the various food options around the Borgata.

Will Unruh – Eastern Poker Tour

Players returned from another break and they dropped down to 160 remaining with a dinner break on the horizon. While they were gone, we were able to see some of the other chip leading contenders and Will Unruh joined Scott Barber and Jim Lemire in the 200K club.

His stack sits a few chips about that mark after the break to put him near the top of the counts. 2014 champ Ryan Chua is also among the leaders with a bit under 200,000 and he’s trying to make the final table which would leave the commentary booth a man short.
